To my mind there will always be one automotive shadow hanging over the MGC, and that is the MGB GTdoes not mean it carries a price premium. It lacks the MGC's minor bonnet tweaks and the bigger wheels, but those are really minor issues. Perhaps the bigger drawbacks are that there are not many original cars to choose from, and they are all GTs. If originality is less important to you then there are plenty of very good MGB roadster V8 conversions available, but bear in mind that the interior of a BGT V8 will be more 1970s than the C's 1960s cabin.
