SUZUKI GT125

Few Japanese, air-cooled, stroker twins typify the genre like Suzuki’s GT125. With a claimed 16bhp at the crank the bike, which only just breasts the 100-kilo mark, is something of a firecracker. Not an awful lot happens for the first 60 per cent of the tacho needle’s arc then, WHAM, the little fella takes off like the proverbial par-boiled feline.

And despite maximum power being delivered at almost 10,000rpm, everything stays together rather well. Much of this is due in no small part to Suzuki’s CCI (Crank Case Injection) automatic oiling system. Formerly marketed as the Posi-Force system, the set up delivered oil directly to main bearings
