‘I ADORE THE CHAOS OF HAVING SIX CHILDREN’
Emma Paxton-Browne, 39, lives in Surrey with husband Yasha, 42, and kids Poppy, 18, Isabella, 10, Ruby, nine, Isaac, four, Rosie, three, and Lucas, one.
Growing up, I never dreamt of having a big brood. Then, aged 20, I was shocked to discover I was pregnant. I was apprehensive about becoming a young, single mum, but the moment I held Poppy in November 2005, my life suddenly had purpose.
On a night out in Cardiff in 2008, I met Yasha, this tall, handsome man who was so easy to talk to. We became friends, but it wasn’t until New Year 2012 that we started a relationship. The next month, before we’d discussed the idea of having kids, I missed my period. We weren’t being careful, but were surprised – and thrilled – to find out I was pregnant.
