An early Christmas clay train gift for Bodmin & Wenford

AN early Christmas present on December 8 saw the Bodmin & Wenford Railway take delivery of the first of eight redundant CDA hopper wagons so it can create a second heritage china clay train.

Also, the National Railway Museum's LSWR Beattie 2-4-0 well tank No. 30587, a veteran of the sharply curving Wenfordbridge freight-only line serving Wenford clay dries, has returned for a second spell on the heritage line.
