WEST Coast Railways (WCR) has suspended its ‘The Jacobite’ daily summer steam service on the West Highland Extension.
The service had established itself as an integral part of the West Highlands tourist economy after running for more than 30 years with an exemption certificate that enables it to operate with Mk.1 hinged-door carriages on the main line, granted by rail regulator the Office of Rail and Road.
