Concerns over Ladysmith renaming

A PROPOSED name change for Ladysmith to uMnambithi, has been met with mixed reaction by the community.

The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Sport, Arts and Culture (KZN DSAC), together with the KZN Geographical Names Committee, invited residents to comment on the proposed name change at meetings held from November 27 to December 1.

The town is currently known as both Ladysmith and Mnambithi.
