COMING ON STRONG

RYAN GARCIA returned with an eighth-round knockout of Oscar Duarte and then insinuated that fighting the man he’d just beaten was a more harrowing experience than fighting Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis, the man who flattened him in April.

“I’m not gonna lie,” Garcia said, arousing immediate suspicion with his opening gambit. “This was scarier than fighting ‘Tank’. He [Duarte] had a hard punch. He punches hard. I don’t ever complain [in the ring], but he hit me so hard in the back of the head.
