FOR 12 years he was a high-voltage lineman, working on cables seething with electricity and taking every safety precaution in the book.
But when you work in a high-risk field like this, accidents can happen – and when a live wire touched Aaron James’ face as he was transferring cables to a new electrical pole, the unthinkable happened.
A whopping 7 200 volts surged through his body, leaving him a broken shell of the strong, strapping man he once was.
The current destroyed his left arm and obliterated most of his face, claiming his left eye, left cheek, nose, lips, front teeth and chin.
Multiple reconstructive surgeries followed, but Aaron’s face was so badly disfigured he hid behind an eye patch
