‘Santa is coming soon!’ Ava kept telling me and my husband Scott, 34, all through December last year.
Seeing the look on her face as she stared at Santa, dressed in his red robes, was priceless.
Running over and perching herself on his knee, Ava recited her Christmas wish list.
‘I want a recorder, Santa,’ she told him with a smile.
She’d been begging for it every day in December.
Soon, we wouldn’t be playing Christmas music in our house, Ava would be making music for us!
We always tried to make Christmas special for the kids as Scott had to work away.
So naturally, it was Ava’s favourite time of year.
