Just a stone’s throw from the banks of the River Thames you will find Kew Gardens and in it a newly rejuvenated kitchen garden, based in the original Georgian kitchen garden that would have supplied the court of George III with its fruit and veg. But this is more than just a kitchen garden. It is also a science area, trial ground and is at the forefront of research into how we may well have to grow crops in the future.
