Igenuinely cannot recall the last time I did any serious spannering on a bike that didn’t have a centre-stand or the ability to somehow hoik the front-end up off the ground.

The Apache lacks the former and that oh-so-sexy exhaust system precludes the latter which makes adjusting the steering races a royal pain. Still, needs must when the devil drives as they say. The Sealey axle stands mentioned a while ago, augmented by some old rags, saved the day and the hopefully front-end is now fully sorted. I’ve taken the liberty of removing the original dust seals from the forks post rebuild and installed some appropriate fork gaiters I found on line. Some will
