ishop's Castle is a market town in south-west Shropshire close to the border with Wales. Its oldest pub is the Three Tuns () which was first recorded selling beer in 1642, although there is evidence that parts of the building may be Elizabethan. Like most of the pubs in the area it brewed its own beer. The Three Tuns’ brew house is still operating today, which arguably makes it Britain's oldest brewery.
