A BITTER PILL
I am 81 years old. I was riding in lane one of a dual carriageway on my MV Agusta Brutale when I suddenly spotted road cones to my right and a broken-down lorry ahead. Realising I needed to avoid the lorry, I weaved through the cones into lane two to pass by it. The next thing I saw was a policeman signalling me to stop.
