WHEN WEAVER and dyer Rebecca Burgess embarked on an ambitious project to develop a Californian network of regional farmers and artisan makers through a locally grown, woven, and manufactured clothing collection, she discovered the potential for a textiles supply chain which would benefit both people and the planet. As a result of this mindset, a non-profit organisation, Fibershed, was born.
Fibershed’s movement has grown significantly since its launch - and it continues to do so internationally. We spoke with Emma Hague, founder and coordinator of South West
