Dana has carved out a niche and reputation for creating some really inspiring and dream-like images, captivating the minds of the kids that she photographs and creating really fun memories for them. Short Bio:
During my high school days, I landed a co-op job at an Art Gallery that was attached to a photographers studio. This is where it all started in the very early 90’s. I was hooked from the moment I saw ‘The Birth of Venus’ in the gallery. I knew that it was stirring up something creative. I actually learned the darkroom and old school photographic processing before I ever learned photography. The owner of the studio was Archie Hood, and his assistant Doreen would let me develop the film and then we would print some of the portraits on this massive Ilford enlarger in the darkroom. We would develop the photos ourselves the old school way with the red light and all. I look back on those days so fondly. There was real art in processing photos back then, getting the developing timed just right to pull it out so it didn’t over process. That was art in itself! I have a wonderful and supportive husband, Nathan, and we are currently in the process of relocating
