Photographic Speciality/Style:

All things strange. Surreal, magical, timeless images. Mostly constructed photographs with people shot in a painterly style that leave the viewer with more questions than answers.

Short Bio:

I was born and raised in Aberdeenshire in the north of Scotland. I wasn’t that academic at school as I was always away in a dream. Then at about 15 I picked up a camera and realized all that dreaming could be put to use in photography and I was hooked.

I studied photography for two years in Salisbury which was very commercially focused, then moved to live in Edinburgh. After a year of assisting a commercial photographer I was being given enough work to get my first studio where I was shooting for design and advertising agencies. Nothing that exciting at that time but I was always working on personal fine art projects but nothing that focused.
