South Africa and Tonga players pray together in stunning World Cup moment that left millions in awe
While rugby is known for being an aggressive contact sport, the Springboks and Tonga players showed love, kindness, and appreciation towards one another following their Rugby World Cup match on Sunday 1 October. Despite being fierce competitors, the Springboks and Tonga team players showed their tender side by uniting in a post-match prayer. The teams gathered together in a circle after the match and held on to each other. They then knelt down whilst remaining arm-in-arm, sharing respect of their King, Jesus, by kneeling, bowing their heads, and praying as music played around them in the stadium in Marseille. Springbok captain Siya Kolisi is an outspoken Christian, and many of the players follow suit in their faith.
