Back in 2022, a little fox in a tunic woke up on a beach in a mysterious world and everything changed for Andrew Shouldice. But before the fox rose from its sandy slumber, Tunic had been in development in some form or another for several years, appearing at almost every game convention leading up to the pandemic. Each time you saw the game, you’d walk away thinking it was just a cute homage to The Legend Of Zelda.
That nice little tribute ended up being nominated for three Game Awards, four DICE Awards (winning one), five BAFTAs (the team brought home two silly faces), and, most importantly, a Golden Joystick [Okay, we might have been on the panel for that one – ed].
