BEHIND THE BIG CRIME TRUE-LIFE
Around early 1998, young actor Danny Masterson sat the teenage cast of an upcoming sitcom down for a chat.
‘Don’t do drugs,’ he urged.
That ’70s Show had just started filming and was already receiving buzz.
The sitcom centred on six marijuana-smoking teenage friends living in Wisconsin from 1976 to 1979.
Masterson, 22 when the show first aired, took on a big-brother role.
One of the first things Danny did with them was to sit [the teens] all down and fellow cast member Debra Jo Rupp would later write in a character letter to a court judge.
