HISTORIC SURVEY PUTS CLASSIC VEHICLES ON THE ECONOMIC MAP

HEADLINE OUTCOMES

The survey estimated the total historic and classic sector to comprise approximately 280,000 cars, trucks, hot rods, motorcycles, tractors, steam engines and other agricultural equipment, and military vehicles.

This is a conservative estimate drawn from multiple sources, including club records, interviews with club members, surveys with the public at large, and Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) registration data, while noting that not all historic vehicles are registered.
