PHOENIX Child Welfare is appealing to the public to consider becoming temporary foster parents.
Aroona Chetty, the director of the welfare organisation, said the number of children needing foster homes was a concern.
“Over the past decade, the population of children and young people in foster care has grown dramatically, and the challenges associated with achieving permanency for them have increased,” said Chetty.
