Trees have always been an essential garden ingredient for Jane Mann. “My love of trees has run deep for as long as I can remember,” she says. “As a child I loved being in Hockley Woods, a beautiful ancient Essex woodland full of oak, birch, and hornbeam. Later I shared those woods with our children and our two Labradors. I’ve always found time to walk in the woods.”
In 2005, Jane and her husband David left the garden they had created over 29 years, and the Nature Study Centre Jane had run for seven of those years, to start a new garden adventure.
