THE MONSTER NEXT DOOR

Rushing out of the front door, with the kids in tow for the school run, I knew a friendly face was never far away.

‘Morning!’ I said in a hurry, turning to give my next door neighbour Benjamin, 47, his wife and kids, a wave before carrying on with a busy day ahead.

After moving into our new home in July 2013, it didn’t take long for me and my hubby Craig, 45, and our kids Fally, now 19, Emily, now 18, and Anthony, now 12, to settle in.

Especially as we had such a lovely family who moved in just next door a few weeks later.

With girls of a similar age, we all became very close.

I’d often have Benjamin’s children over for dinner or if we were planning a BBQ in the garden, next door would always have an invite, too.
