A devoted citizen protects the vulnerable

Gender-based violence (GBV) recognises that violence directed against a person on the basis of their vulnerability, their gender, is not only directed at women and girls. Violence in South Africa, and particularly sexual violence, also affects boys and men. Devoted citizens should be calling for concerted action to prevent such attacks upon women, men, and children.
