At home with the MALOSSI FAMILY

At various times I’ve coveted, used and abused various products bearing the Malossi name but until recently I’d never given much thought as to who produced them. If anything, I’d assumed that the brand was part of an engineering conglomerate, the type of faceless corporation that creates brand names, uses them, and then discards them when their useful life is over. With that in mind, it came as something of a shock when I mentioned to Norrie Kerr of VEUK that I was heading for Bologna and he cheerfully suggested: “Why don’t you call in to see Malossi while you’re there? I’ll call Alessandra and sort it out for you.” When I asked who Alessandra was, Norrie looked perplexed: “Alessandra Malossi of course.” Now I was the one that was confused. “There’s a Malossi family?” I asked.
