I was interested to see your article on women’s Morris dancing [18 July 2023]. I have loved Morris dancing since I was a little girl, when my great-aunt used to take me to the now-famous Sidmouth Folk Festival in Devon. When I was 49, I had the opportunity of joining a women’s Morris group in Bury St Edmunds, and now, 30 years later, I am hanging up my bells and hankies.
