YOU WILL NEED:

Clay – We have chosen terracotta to contrast with the interior image
Rolling pin, plastic sheet, roller guides (5mm max thickness)
General tools and ribs
Paper or card to make templates
Underglaze or slip colours of choice
Brushes to apply colourout of the way, to avoid plaster contamination

1 Before you begin, do a little research to find images of animals you like, then draw them in your sketchbook, adding feature details.

Trace a selection of the drawings you particularly like, then transfer the outline images to card and cut the templates out.

Base the box frame size on the animal templates you have cut out and how many you want to be
