It may be end of the road for besieged Mangaung council

Ailing municipalities

THE council of the troubled Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality could be dissolved as it battles widespread fraud and corruption that has led to a persistent financial crisis and the collapse of service delivery.

Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana has approved a financial recovery plan for the Free State and also revealed some of the interventions national government is considering implementing.

The plan warns that remedial actions will not have the desired effect before Mangaung
