The Bentong Gold durian variety that is produced by trees planted with seeds has caused quite a stir in Bentong.

These durians, which were cultivated from seeds in the orchard decades ago, were presented at a competition that was organised by the Ministry of Agriculture. It won first prize under the category of durian that is produced by trees planted with seeds. Since then, it was named Bentong Gold.

The Bentong Gold durian variety is round and the weight of a single fruit is usually more than 1 kg. Its maximum weight can reach more than 2 kg.
