Most durian orchards face low or even no production. However, this is not the case for Foo Yong Song’s orchard.
Foo Yong Song’s durian orchard is located in Tangkak, Johor. It covers an area of 5 acres. The trees are generally more than 10 years old. There are more than 100 Musang King trees in the orchard while the rest are of the Black Thorn, Tekka, Fairy Seed and other varieties.
What’s amazing about his orchard is that it can be roughly estimated that each tree bears more than 100 fruits.
Foo Yong Song secures all his durians with a net including durian Kampung. After all, durian Kampung can fetch RM10 per kilogram.
