The International Historisch Festival is the largest tractor show in Europe by far these days and it was a pleasure to return to this event in post-Covid times.
Welcoming
I first came to this show in the late Eighties when the event was on a different site. How my life was about to change. It was an adventure I will never forget. I was made very welcome and made lots of friends who I would see as time went on at the Great Dorset Steam Fair and other high-profile events such as the Pickering Rally and even the Bishops Castle Rally in Shropshire it was a high adventure at the time.
Since those “heady” days, the event has grown bigger and biggerhere was in 2017 with my friend “Badger”. In fact, like all rallies, one looks back and reflects, particularly if you are into these events for the long haul and think that things were better in the UK Seventies-Eighties rally scene. In some respects that is true, but on the whole that’s not the case, but one thing I do know is the entry and their owners are much younger.
