Face-saving way out ends violent strike

TAXI chaos

A week of minibus taxi association-inspired chaos and mayhem in Cape Town had the locals on edge and, for a change, drew the involvement of the national government – probably because it’s the height of the international tourism season and the country’s battered reputation can’t take a lot more.
