The episode followed the personal experience of CNN correspondent David Culver traveling, Culver explained that he didn’t feel anything significant during the first dosing ceremony, but during the second one he “felt a jolt of energy” which he identified as relating to his grandmother and other loved ones. Following the five- to six-hour experience, Culver wrote that he now feels more at peace. “Today, I’m in no rush to take psilocybin again anytime soon,” he concluded. “I do, however, walk away from this therapeutic journey, and the subsequent integration sessions, grateful for the personal journey it allowed me. But mostly I’m thankful for the other participants who let us in on something so intimate and their willingness to share it with the world.”
