With World Champs fever hitting the UK, I’m hearing lots of riders who’ve never ridden a downhill bike (or got rid of theirs 10 years ago) saying they want to get one, or at least rent one for a holiday. I’m not surprised – modern DH bikes look insanely cool and watching them be pushed to the limit at World Cups is thrilling. However, there’s a reason why DH bike sales are tiny in comparison to enduro and trail bikes – they’re nowhere near as versatile.
