Prawn toast

Frozen prawns make this the fastest snack you'll ever make. Blend everything, spread onto the bread and bake. Easy.

Cooking: 15 minutes

butter 1 T
 white bread 4 slices
 uncooked prawns 150 g, cleaned and chopped (or use Woolworths’ frozen prawns, thawed)
 garlic 1 clove, crushed
 fresh ginger 1 x 1.5 cm piece, peeled and crushed
 free-range egg whites 2
 salt, to taste
 sesame seeds 2 T

For the dipping sauce, mix:

soya sauce ½ cup
 ginger 1 T crushed
 crushed smoked dried chillies 1½ t

1 Preheat the oven to 180°C. Melt the butter in a pan and toast the bread on both sides.

2 Blend the prawns, garlic, ginger, egg whites and salt to make a smooth paste.

3 Spread the paste onto the toasted bread, sprinkle with sesame seeds and bake for 15 minutes.

4 Serve with the dipping sauce.
