arry Plews pushes off his number one Norton to start the 1956 Junior TT. Plews, a 42-year-old decorator from Horsforth, near Leeds in Yorkshire, was supported by Bill Bancroft; Plews had a Bancroft-entered Norton for the Senior race too. He raced to 21st in the depicted Junior, improving to 17th in the Senior, his best result in the TT ‘proper’ – other Isle of Man finishes included recording a fifth on a Norton in the 1951 Clubman Senior
