Quite by chance, I found out that the New Zealand Federation of Meccano Modellers (NZFMM) was going to hold its biennial exhibition on 22–24 April in Tinwald – just up the road, in relative terms.

An added interest was that the host club, the Christchurch Meccano Club, claims to be the longest-running club on the planet. It sounded like The Shed territory to me, and so it was – in spades.
