Salty seaside lobster

WORKING WITH COLLAGE is interesting and challenging. Combining elements of objects and knife marks creates a subject that will help convey a message or idea. Working this way helps to develop creativity, imagination and problem-solving. When on holiday, I collect objects and literature that give a sense of place and incorporate these into paintings combined with knives and acrylics.

This project helps to develop knife skills when infilling or working around complex shapes. The type of knife and the way it is held will hopefully start to become much more natural when applying paint. Collage sometimes includes just
