The Lasso effect

Denver is in a golden age of sports, and everyone has the chance to get in on the action. With the soccer team is taking a break from their regular season from July 21 to August 19 to compete in the Leagues Cup, a ground-breaking event in global football that combines two leagues in one World Cup-style tournament. It’s a battle of the Americas as MLS and Liga MX compete in 77 matches. And the Rapids could use your support as they are up against some stiff competition. Cheer for your team on July 31 at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park as they take on Deportivo Toluca F.C., currently ranked fourth in Liga MX. The Rapids are at the bottom of the MLS rankings—but hey, everyone loves an underdog. You can also catch the team during regular season home games this month on July 4, 8, and 15. The fire-works show following the game on the Fourth of July is always one of the best in town.
