Intricate, exploratory and a little trippy, this is a fascinating three-track release from the Marillion frontman and the sound designer/keyboardist best known for his work with Porcupine Tree and, previously, Japan. The pair worked together on 2012, and again on 2014’s . This new music has emerged from sketches they began a year after that, and which they felt didn’t then fit with any plan. Having revisited and reworked them, they’ve found the playfulness within the atmospheres, and those cygnets have become swans.
