Jersey travel made easier

Visitors to Jersey will no longer need to have a permit to bring over caravans and motorhomes, provided they are staying for no more than a month.

Changes to the island’s planning laws mean visitors staying for 31 days or fewer will be automatically granted permission.

Jersey’s Minister for the Environment, Deputy Jonathan Renouf, explained: “The existing system seemed overly burdensome for those valued visitors wanting to enjoy a short visit to Jersey without getting caught up in red tape.
