Eight lives left

L ooking at the little black fluff ball lying in agony across the examination table, my heart broke.

It was January 2020 and as a veterinary nurse, I was used to treating animals in a critical condition.

But this time was particularly tough.

This poor little kitten’s fur was singed, chunks of scalded flesh falling away.

Who could do this? I thought.
