Time to crack on with part two of sorting these old switchgear items – as mentioned, I pretty much do this with my own bikes as no one wants to pay me for the time taken to do this, but if they are for my own bikes…

Last month I cleaned up and powdercoated the bodies of the switches. This month I am looking at the guts and will start off with some cleaning. I kicked off by spraying brake cleaner on all the parts and scrubbing with a cheap toothbrush. Cheapo toothbrushes aren’t great for their original purpose but are easily sourced and perfect for cleaning parts in a bike workshop.
