8-INCH FORD GEARING OPTIONS
Q: I recently bought a Fox-era Mustang circle track car with a 2300 (2.3-liter) four-cylinder engine, as well as an 8-inch differential that the previous owner installed. I ran across your article from many years ago and saw there was a 5.43:1 ring and pinion made for that differential at one point. What kind of vehicle did it come in and where can I get one? I want to run direct drive for obvious reasons, and this would be perfect! Any help would be appreciated very much — I’ve called just about everyone I know!
