PROPOSALS for the new East West Rail route from Bedford to Cambridge were published on May 26.
The proposals are designed to unlock the region’s potential, while trains are due to begin operating between Oxford and Milton Keynes from 2025.
A direct link to the Cambridge Biomedical Campus is part of the plans published by East West Railway Company (EWR Co).
The plans have been published following feedback from the second non-statutory public consultation with local residents. These were analysed alongside environmental and technical studies.
The updated proposals include a new station near Tempsford that would connect the
