SIMCA, NOT STUDEBAKER!

Dear Classic American, I have subscribed to your magazine for a number of years as it’s one of the most informative car magazines I’ve read, with a wide range of different vehicles. I’ve also learnt a lot from it too. As for Wheels Day, I usually attend every year but didn’t this year, however I enjoyed looking at the photos you published in the latest issue. I couldn’t help noticing a photo of a car at the top left of page 67 which your photographer/reporter couldn’t identify. The car is a 1958 Simca Aronde Plein Ciel Coupe which has been on the show scene for a number of years in the south.

The first time I saw it was in 2015 when it was metallic grey/silver then repainted black. By the way, the hubcaps are correct for the car, not from a Studebaker! Simca was a French
