Alison Goldfrapp: The Love Invention

The singer and namesake of Goldfrapp is releasing a solo album for the first time with „The Love Invention“. But fans of her main band should also like this one. The 11-track record reminds of Goldfrapp‘s disco albums such as „Supernature“ or „Head First“ and presents pleasing electro/synth-pop of a danceable and catchy nature. No weird and experimental sounds like on Goldfrapp‘s blissful debut „Felt Mountain“, but rather Pop-Electronic sounds without edges, which have a clear tendency towards 80s nostalgia. There is also a certain proximity to Kylie Minogue‘s last albums. Unmistakable, however, are the vocals, which carry that typical psychedelic Goldfrapp flair with numerous doublings and chorus and modulation effects. Highlights: „Never Stop“ and „Digging Deeper Now“.
