EASTERN LEAVES

Green, leafy and loaded with nutrients, the group of vegies we collectively call Asian greens includes bok choy, mizuna, choy sum, wombok (or Chinese cabbage) and mustard greens, most of which you’ve probably heard of before.

But there are some lesser-known Asian greens that fall under this umbrella, including edible chrysanthemum, tatsoi, perilla, kai-lan (gai lan) or Chinese broccoli, kang kong, celtuce and ‘Tokyo Bekana’, also called Chinese cabbage.
