With nearly two decades of experience in unified communications, I’ve helped customers with thousands of different issues. Network connectivity sits right at the top. If we don’t have an email for 15 minutes, we would rarely notice. We might even rejoice. But connectivity becomes a paramount issue if we need to make an urgent call using Microsoft Teams and it doesn’t work.
Then there’s identity. Whether people are working remotely or in the office, we need to ensure that users can prove they are who they say they are, and that they have access to the line of business applications they should have.
This has been exacerbated by our shift to hybrid working. As Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said in September 2021: “This is the new normal. Our ability to come together will ebb and flow.” According to a survey, 58% of employees who plan to spend the most and least time in the office share the same reason: to have a more focused work environment. However, the surveyed employees
