Use =ISNUMBER to search for keywords

You’d normally use Excel’s =ISNUMBER function to search your cells to see if they contain any numbers. But you can also combine it with Excel’s SEARCH function to look for specific words, returning a TRUE or FALSE value to indicate whether or not they contain what you are searching for.

In our example, we’re in our screenshot). In C4, we typed =ISNUMBER(SEARCH(C$1,B4)) , and the FALSE value is returned because the address in B4 does not contain the target keyword.
